"There's no doubt" - Former Arsenal star makes new Leeds United signing prediction with finish suggestion

A former Arsenal star on Leeds United’s prospects for the club’s second season back in the Premier League.

Former Arsenal star Alan Smith has made a confident new Leeds United signing prediction in assessing where the Whites might finish in next season’s Premier League.

Leeds are heading for their second year back in the country’s top flight following last season’s 14th-placed finish and the club snapped up Wales international winger Harry Wilson on a free transfer as their first signing of the summer.

Wilson became a free agent as his contract at Fulham expired and Smith says there is “no doubt” that the 29-year-old will prove a good acquisition for the Whites.

“A good signing, there’s no doubt about that”

Smith has also applauded United’s attempts to sign young Southampton midfielder Shea Charles, the ex-Gunners ace saluting the club’s attempts to build and suggesting that Daniel Farke could lead United to finishing a few places higher than last season.

In his latest column for BestBettingSites.co.uk, Smith said of Leeds: “They’re trying to build on things, aren’t they? They were five points from tenth from the top half last season. So could they kick on with good signings? Maybe, yeah. Harry Wilson will be a good signing, there’s no doubt about that.

“Shea Charles could be too; people like Dominic Calvert-Lewin have got to keep going, scoring goals, leading the line. But they’re in a good spot, I think, and Daniel Farke would hope that they can finish a few places higher than they did last season.”
