A Mateusz Klich penalty followed by second-half strikes from Helder Costa, Liam Cooper, Pablo Hernandez and Patrick Bamford gave United a five-star victory, booting the Whites six points clear of third-placed Brentford with just four games left.
The YEP's chief football writer Graham Smyth hands out the scores.
7. Mateusz Klich
8 - Linked the play brilliantly at times. Showed nerves of steel to score the penalty.
8. Helder Costa
8 - Dangerous when running at Stoke, won the penalty well and took his goal nicely, eventually.
9. Jack Harrison
8 - Never stopped running up and down the flank. Terrified Stoke on the counter attack.
10. Tyler Roberts
8 - Worked hard to find space in the first half, replaced by Hernandez at the break. Some clever touches.
11. Patrick Bamford
8 - Deserved a goal and took it really well. Made himself a thorn in Stoke's side for most of the afternoon.

12. Pablo Hernandez (sub)
9 - A class above. His passing was crisp and precise, Stoke couldn't pick him up or stop him.
