Leeds United host Eddie Howe’s Newcastle at Elland Road this afternoon in what could prove to be a pivotal fixture for both sides in the grand scheme of their seasons as the Whites look to avoid the drop and the visitors aim for Champions League qualification.

Leeds are without talismanic defensive midfielder Tyler Adams for the remainder of the season, according to interim manager Sam Allardyce, and will also be missing club captain Liam Cooper for this weekend’s encounter with the Magpies.

The visitors are without Sean Longstaff and Matt Ritchie but boast a largely fully-fit squad, including the likes of 15-goal forward Callum Wilson and 10-goal attacker Alexander Isak.

Leeds United 2-2 Newcastle United LIVE

Firpo’s got away with one there, just a yellow

57’ Bruno Guimaraes booked for Newcastle for simulation.

56' Forshaw blocks an attempt at the back post inside the Leeds box, then Leeds go up the other end, Harrison's dummies and Bamford's shot is blocked. Rodrigo also clearing one of the line earlier. Scrappy scrappy.

Not getting that one

54’ Firpo down in the area again from another bursting run, never a penalty.

52’ CHANCE. Wilson flashes one over the top and wide, apparently via a deflection. Snap shot.

Leeds, Leeds, Leeds

51’ There’s a second goal in this for Leeds. Home side started the second half better. Rodrigo’s inswinging cross is laid off by Bamford into the path of Koch but the ball bounces away from the German.

Another 45 minutes of stress

46' Underway again. How are the nerves?

HT: Leeds 1-1 Newcastle

Breathless first 45. Two penalties - one missed; one scored. Leeds will be kicking themselves they're not 2-0 up but neither side exerting the sort of control to suggest they should be leading.

45’ Almiron bends a curling effort just past Robles’ post

45’ Two added on

44’ Greenwood fires over from distance. Good work by both Kristensen and then Bamford, who teed up the youngster. Off balance as he struck it, always rising.

40’ McKennie gives it away, wins it back, gives it away, Greenwood wins it back, runs forward and gives it away, unaware of a man behind him. All too frantic.
