Rise and shine!

It’s an early one today, with kick-off at Elland Road at 12pm sharp.

Leeds return to action a week on from a hugely disappointing defeat to Manchester United and will be looking to get back to winning ways.

We’ll bring you all the latest throughout the day right here.

Early Burnley team news

Burnley midfielders Dwight McNeil and Robbie Brady are being monitored ahead of kick-off after limping out against Wolves on Monday.

Sean Dyche said the pair will be assessed ahead of the Elland Road trip along with forward Matej Vydra who missed the game at Turf Moor.

Jack Cork and Johann Berg Gudmundsson have been ruled out despite stepping up their return to training this week.

Early Leeds United team news

Leeds captain Liam Cooper will miss the game with an abdominal strain picked up at Old Trafford.

Fellow defender Diego Llorente, though, has been passed fit while Robin Koch (knee) and Adam Forshaw (hip) are long-term absentees for Marcelo Bielsa.

Predicted line-up - one in, one out?

There will be one change to United’s line-up for certain with Liam Cooper ruled out - the question is who will replace him?

Diego Llorente could come into the heart of defence or Pascal Struijk could also provide an option at the back or even in the middle of midfield.

The latter is due to the fact that Burnley usually opt for a 4-4-2 formation, meaning Marcelo Bielsa is likely to select a 3-3-1-3 which may see Kalvin Phillips drop into defence.

YEP predicted line-up (3-3-1-3 fluid): Meslier, Ayling, Phillips. Llorente, Dallas, Klich, Alioski, Rodrigo, Raphinha, Harrison, Bamford.

There is no easy game to win [in the Premier League].

All the games are important and all of the points are valuable.

“The reference that I made for a certain sector, not for everybody. In no way that I think that the analysis made by the press will have an effect on the team. The analysis was useful to see what we had to improve.”
