  • U23s FT: Leeds United 1-2 Wigan Athletic

52. Good work from Leeds again. Moore produces a brilliant ball down the left for McGurk. He goes one way, then another. His ball in is headed away. Allen then sees a tame shot saved.

50. A shot from distance is deflected behind. Wigan swing in a corner and it’s header over the bar...

48. Lovely break from Leeds. Gray has the ball down the left... he delivers to the back post and Sutcliffe is there. He just needs to keep his header down and it’s 2-2 but he can’t. Jackson has his head in his hands.

47. Leeds win a throw on the far side... it’s worked to Allen, who decides to shoot from distance. It’s never troubling the goal but it isn’t miles away. Positive start.

45. We’re back underway at York... Wigan ahead here 2-1.

No changes for Leeds

Teams back out after the interval at York.

Young Leeds well in this Premier League Cup tie. Some good passages of play - they’ve forced a few strong saves from Tickle - and have limited Wigan since the Latics went ahead.

Wigan lead at the break...

44. Allen hits one and it’s brilliantly struck after some patient build-up play from Leeds. Tickle saves well just as it looked destined for the top corner.

41. Hughes with a nice run at Wigan. He jinks in and out of the defence and finds McGurk, who attempts to curl a shot into the far corner from the edge of the box but his effort is wayward.
