With his frightening pace and willingness to drive his team forward with purpose and directness, the Wolves man looks like a player who would be naturally suited to Marcelo Bielsa’s high-octane attacking style, and a recent report from Spanish outlet Sport suggests that the Argentine would be “delighted” to bring the 25-year-old to Elland Road.
Eurosport have now backed up those claims by suggesting that the Whites could make a move for the wide man over the summer, as well as claiming that he has been on their radar all season.
Certainly, if Leeds were to wrap up a deal for the winger, they would be getting a player who boasts a unique dribbling ability.
According to Wyscout, Traore has averaged 13.99 dribbles per 90 minutes this season, with a success rate of 68.7%.
To give those numbers some context, Jack Harrison has averaged 5.35 dribbles per game, with a success rate of 48.7%.
As per Whoscored.com, the Spain international has made more dribbles per 90 minutes than any other player in the Premier League this season.
It’s little wonder that Bielsa is so keen on him.
Elsewhere, Raphinha is said to be attracting interest from Liverpool.
According to Football Insider, the champions have been “blown away" by the Brazilian’s impact on the Premier League this season and are said to be keeping tabs on his progress at Elland Road.
Jurgen Klopp’s men aren’t the only ones who have been impressed by the 24-year-old’s debut season in England, however.
Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan has argued that his value has already been doubled from the £17 million that the Whites paid for him over the summer, while Paul Merson has described the wide man as his “cup of tea”, as well as insisting that other clubs in the Premier League will have been left scratching their heads as to how Bielsa snapped him up for such a bargain price.
Raphinha scored his fourth league goal of the season against Everton in midweek.
