The Argentine is said to be content with his squad having spent big last summer on the likes of Rodrigo, Raphinha, Diego Llorente, and Robin Koch.
Director of Football Victor Orta still has his list of transfer targets from the previous window, and that could be revisited, if, as the say, the price is right or within the best interests of the club.
Indeed, one of those players tracked by Orta was Derby County midfielder Louie Sibley, as revealed in an interview with the YEP.
The Rams’ uncertain financial position has seen Leeds’ interest in the 19-year-old resurface this week – and former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson believes the Whites should jump at the chance to sign him.
Robinson told MOT Leeds News: “A player like Sibley, a young player, if he becomes available this window then he would be a great signing.
“The thing is, for Leeds, where does he fit in? He’s 19 and he isn’t a player who’s going to come in and be a regular starter this season.
“Saying that, he’s certainly one Bielsa would look at to develop and mould him into a much better player.
“But I don’t think Leeds fans should expect him to come into the side straight away and make a big impact.
“If they do sign him, he’d be one for the future, but he is a very good player.”
Meanwhile, an update from Tuttomercato has been published regarding the futures of Leeds-linked Rodrigo De Paul and Erick Pulgar.
De Paul, a player we know Bielsa wants at Elland Road, could be subject to further bids by Leeds in the summer, if “the player does not find a new accommodation between now and February 1.”
Pulgar, a less concrete link, is set to miss out on a switch to West Yorkshire as the Whites have “cooled their interest at least for that concerning the winter session.”
