Under the stewardship of Marcelo Bielsa, the Whites have earned some serious praise for their exciting attacking style, which has propelled Leeds to 12th in the table, 10 points clear of the relegation zone.
But Leeds are 'preparing and analysing options' in case Bielsa exits Elland Road when his contract expires this summer but ‘would be delighted' for Argentine boss to stay on, chairman Andrea Radrizzani has said.
Radrizzani explained: “Marcelo knows we are happy with him.
“If he stays, we are really delighted to continue. If the group is happy with him, I am also happy and we should continue.
“So, it's up to him. We wait on his decision but in any case, myself and Victor have already analysed the options and what to do in case Marcelo does not want to be with us.
“We hope he will continue but in any case we are preparing the club. [But] I believe this team is not finished yet, [and] Marcelo as well.
“They need to come and enjoy Elland Road with the fans in the Premier League. It's what he deserves as a manager, and it's a unique experience.”
In other news,16-year-old Liverpool academy defender Cuba Cline has left the club after six years to join Leeds United.
Cline wrote: "It's been a class six years at Liverpool. Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way but it's time for me to face my new challenge at Leeds United. The hard work continues...."
