Rumours involving the Whites have been coming thick and fast from the continent in recent weeks, and as we approach the halfway point in the transfer window, things show no sign of slowing down.

The latest gossip involving Marcelo Bielsa's side links them to 22-year-old Norwegian full-back Fredrik Andre Bjorkan.

According to a report from La Repubblica in Itay, Sampdoria are keen on the young defender, but there is a groundswell of interest in him from England, with Leeds leading the charge.

Alongside the Whites, Newcastle United and Norwich City are both said to be interested.

Elsewhere, whispers surrounding Fiorentina midfielder Erick Pulgar persist, and a new report from the aptly-titled Fiorentina News suggests that Leeds could bag their man for just £10.8 million this month – not a particularly eye-watering fee for a 24-cap Chilean international.

Whether or not Bielsa actually feels compelled to strengthen his squad in that area remains to be seen, but the speculation surrounding the 26-year-old refuses to die down, and this one is likely to rumble on for the remainder of the window.
