A fresh update from El Desmarque speculates that the Whites and Crystal Palace are both keen on securing the 27-year-old’s services in the coming months, with current employers Celta Vigo willing to sell.

Yokuslu spent the second half of last season in the Premier League with Sam Allardyce’s Baggies, and is currently representing Turkey as part of their Euro 2020 squad.

El Desmarque also claim that a number of clubs in his home country are interested in signing him, but the player’s agent has made it clear that his client does not wish to return to the Turkish Super Lig.

It is suggested that he would instead prefer to seek an opportunity elsewhere, and that could hand the advantage to Leeds or Palace – although at this stage there is nothing to suggest that either side have made any kind of concrete move for the midfielder yet, and any potential pursuit remains nothing more than speculation.

Yokuslu signed for Celta Vigo from Trabzonspor in the summer of 2018 for a fee of around £5.4 million. He has since gone on to make 72 appearances for the La Liga side, but was shipped out on loan to The Hawthorns in January of this year, making 16 top flight outings in their doomed relegation battle.

The combative talent picked up his 35th cap for Turkey in their 3-0 defeat to Italy on Friday evening.
