A soft early Neal Maupay goal separated the sides in what was a below-par first half from the Whites, who had more control in the second half without making keeper Robert Sanchez work.
1. Stuart Dallas - 6
Not at his best. Got into good positions and couldn't do much with them. Didn't show the usual care he has on the ball.
2. Gjanni Alioski - 5
An lovely early cross aside, unable to show much quality in possession and looked shaky defensively. Brighton threatened his and Raphinha's flank a lot.
3. Liam Cooper - 6
Too static for the Brighton goal. Defended well for the most part, although had little of it to do in the second half.
4. Luke Ayling - 6
Was no where near Maupay for the goal as the Leeds defence was passed apart. Unable to run it as often as he likes to, some nice long balls.
5. Pascal Struijk - 5
Couldn't get Leeds moving forward. Was pulled out of shape in the lead up to the goal. Looked lost at times. Stayed in the game and had more impact later.
6. Rodrigo - 5
Really struggled to get into the game. Didn't look capable, physically, of playing to the required tempo. Withdrawn on 62 minutes.
