Leeds United's players showed their support for Leeds Rhinos legend Rob Burrow on Boxing Day at Elland Road.

The Whites matchday squad could be seen wearing t-shirts during the warm-up in LS11 with a picture of the former rugby league star along with the message 'Stay Strong Rob'.

Burrow revealed last week that he had been diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) of which there is currently no known cure.

The 37-year-old won eight Grand Finals, three World Club Challenges and two Challenge Cups in 17 years during a glittering career with the Rhinos.

Burrow was in attendance at the Rhinos Boxing Day pre-season victory over Wakefield Trinity at Headingley with fundraising planned for January 12 when Leeds face Bradford Bulls in Jamie Jones-Buchanan's testimonial.

A donation page for Burrow and his family has already been set up by the Super League club and has raised almost £200,000.

Whites captain Liam Cooper has also put a signed match worn shirt from United's trip to Fulham last weekend up for raffle which has raised nearly £5,000 separately.
