United chairman Cellino said: “I’m delighted to have brought back what naturally belongs to Leeds United.

“To be able to provide our own Conference and Banqueting facilities on match-days and non match-days is a positive step in the restructuring of the club.”

“It is now the club’s intention to be in control of all its own assets as soon as possible.

“A lot of these assets like the club’s Conference and Banqueting businesses had been sold off over the last 10 years and this has been a contributing factor in the club’s financial losses.

“Owning our own Conference and Banqueting business again is a significant move towards making Leeds United Football club financially viable on a long term basis.

“The Elland Road Stadium is another important asset that is high on the list of priorities for me to bring back into club ownership.”

In a second piece of financial news, Unted have also revealed a new South Stand sponsor and vehical partner in Global Autocare which the club describe as a “record-breaking partnership”.

The South Stand deal is for three years and Cellino added: “We look forward to working with Global, our sponsors are very important to us and we look forward to building a strong lasting partnership on and off the field. We thank Geoff, and all the staff, at Global for their support and we are delighted to welcome them as commercial partners”.
