Kaiser Chiefs pay tribute to Leeds United promotion with brilliant We are the Champions cover

Leeds United super fans Kaiser Chiefs have paid a brilliant tribute to the Whites with a cover version of a Queen classic.

The Leeds indie heroes, fronted by singer Ricky Wilson, wearing a club top, sang We are the Champions, dedicated to the Championship-winning squad of their hometown.

Leeds United posted the video on social media.

The band themselves are named after the former South African club of Leeds United legend Lucas Radebe, who played for the Whites from 1994 to 2005.

Bassist Simon Rix, who has described coach Marcelo Bielsa as a "long-awaited hero" in a YEP tribute, holds up a sign in the cover video saying 'Bielsa is God."

The five-piece band then go on to cover one of their most famous songs, I Predict a Riot, from 2004.
