'Jose will get one over on Bielsa' - TalkSPORT pundit delivers ominous verdict for 'unbelievable' Leeds ahead of Spurs clash

Leeds have enjoyed a fruitful festive period, recording back-to-back wins over Burnley and West Brom.

Their performance against the latter saw them put five past Sam Allardyce’s side, and while Ashton is forecasting goals again today, he also believes that Mourinho will have enough tactical wherewithal to capitalise on Bielsa’s relentless attacking approach.

Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: “I get astounded every time I come to this new stadium because it looks like a spaceship has just landed in the middle of Tottenham. It’s the most incredible stadium, and I think the game will live up to the venue.

"It’s a contrast of styles. If Leeds win they go level on points with Tottenham.

"I’m sure Tottenham fans will have been pleased with the start of the season, but the style I don’t think is something they would particularly like to watch for the remainder of the season.

"It’s going to be interesting to see just how they combat Leeds’ style, which is great to watch.

"To be honest, there’s going to be goals. There just has to be. Leeds are going to leave so many spaces that I think Tottenham will exploit, it’s just whether Tottenham can hold them off.

"They’re going to be surprised, like a lot of other teams at just how unbelievable and relentless the attacks are and the way that they press.

"I think for Tottenham as well, there’ll be gaps up opening up for the forward players, and that’s when they're at their best.

"I expect goals, but I actually think Jose will be able to get one over on Bielsa today.”

Leeds haven’t played Tottenham since 2013, when they beat Saturday’s hosts 2-1 in the FA Cup.

Their last meeting in the Premier League came in 2004, with Robbie Keane scoring for Spurs to seal a 1-0 defeat for the Whites.
