Leeds are still unbeaten after four matches across all competitions this season with their latest triumph coming last night in the Carabao Cup.
United’s Second Round victory over Barnsley does not appear to have come at a cost as assistant head coach Rene Maric did not reveal any fresh injuries sustained in the line of duty during last night’s post-match press briefing.

Graham Potter’s Brighton are Saturday’s opponents – something of a bogey team in recent seasons for the Whites – but three wins and one draw to begin the campaign should serve as encouragement heading into the fixture with the Seagulls.
Updates from Marsch filtering in here throughout the afternoon.

Marsch on youngsters
In this business if you’re not playing many minutes it’s hard to show your development. They need to play to make mistakes, to show improvement. I take that role very seriously. Cameron Toshack is our individual plan coach, we’ve invested a lot in trying to be very clear with every player. What we’ve seen is full engagement from every player. Ultimately that’s what will help the team, engagement, improving, we’ll see more and more quality moments.
Marsch on Barnsley result
In one way or another they all passed the test. The challenge I set to them immediately after the Chelsea game, was can we be as clear with our tactics as we were with the Chelsea match. We went through the match today, there was a lot of good comments how the group processed it.
Marsch on Klich
He’s had some good performances from the bench and last night to get 90 minutes. I think he’ll still be a big factor for us. He’ll be ready when he need him.
Marsch on Cooper’s readiness
He’ll be ready for this weekend. The idea was 30-45 minutes for Liam but at 30 minutes he looked really strong so we went for 45.
Marsch on Sinisterra
We knew we already had a fantastic player. We see him everyday and I was not surprised at all he was Man of the Match. We think very highly of him. He is driven to adapt and grow within our environment. Will it be this weekend, let’s see where he’s at physically after the 60 minutes.
Marsch on adding a striker
How likely it is, again it’s dependent on a lot of other things and how they play out, what availabilities are. We don’t have a surplus of money to go out and spend on a huge transfer. We’ve done a good job of evaluating. We’re waiting and communicating with clubs to see if there’s flexibility in players’ contracts
Marsch on Brighton
Obviously there’s momentum but we’re only starting the process. There’s nothing that keeps you more honest than what this league is. If you take one second to think you’ve achieved something then the next opponent will come and clean you up. Brighton have made some good additions, have a wonderful manager and have made a good start to the season.
Marsch on injuries
Junior and Luke will be in training next week. Stuart is a little bit still months away but really working hard. The big question mark is Patrick Bamford. We think he’s doing well and moving forward. Performances of the team allow us to be patient. We want him to be in the best position possible.
