The Whites are in need of points as they battle against a return to the second tier and will be eyeing their remaining home fixtures as an opportunity to put some distance between themselves and the bottom three.

Leeds have failed to find the net in five of their last seven matches with Javi Gracia’s men desperately seeking a regular goalscorer in the absence of Spanish forward Rodrigo who has netted 12 times this season.

Patrick Bamford sat out last weekend’s visit to Chelsea while January signing Georginio Rutter was unable to break his duck in a Whites shirt at Stamford Bridge.

Gracia on Chris Armas

He’s not part of my staff. I came with Juan, Mikel and Zigor. He’s not here and it’s something the club can explain better.

I think Patrick is an important player for us. I don’t know if the level now is better or worse than before. I’m trying to help him give the best version, I try to help him do it.

Gracia on Rodrigo and Sinisterra

They are doing something with the team. They are starting [to train again]. Some long-term injured players need a process to come back and adapt. In the next training session we will evaluate the situation, [to see] if they can help us in our next game or we will have to wait.

Gracia on what he’s learned from the players

I can confirm what I said on my first day. I can see in every training session, day in day out, the attitude they have, commitment they have and all of them are looking forward to the next game, knowing the points in play are really important for us.

Gracia on home form

Crucial for us. We know first of all playing with our supporters always is better. They help us in the last home game in my opinion, it was the difference, to be able to win the game. I expect the same for the next game, playing home and playing away because when we play away you can see 7,000 people supporting you. I want to thank them. They are supporting a lot and we can feel it. Playing against Southampton in the last home game, the atmosphere was unbelievable and it was what we needed to get the good result.

I think we need all the players. Of course in the last game we didn’t have many other options to substitute attacking players, but now we are working with more players. I suppose if everything is right in the next training session, we’ll have more options for the next game.

Here we go.

15 minutes to go until Gracia joins us.
