Leeds United utility man Jamie Shackleton says last season's stunning last minute victory over Aston Villa is his standout Whites moment so far.

The Thorp Arch academy product burst onto the first-team scene under Marcelo Bielsa during the 2018/19 campaign.

Shackleton made 21 Championship appearances for the club last term in his debut season having graduated to the senior ranks.

The 20-year-old has struggled with injuries over the course of the current campaign but still featured 14 times for United before the current suspension.

Asked to pick a favourite moment so far, Shackleton could look no further than the Whites dramatic 3-2 win at Villa Park in December 2018.

Bielsa's men trailed by two goals at the half-time break before former striker Kemar Roofe struck in the fifth minute of stoppage time to complete an unlikely turnaround.

“Other than my debut [against Derby County], winning away at Aston Villa," Shackleton said.

"I came on for the last part of it when we’d got it back to 2-2.

"When I came on it felt right and we felt on top.

"We felt like a goal was coming and for it to happen right at the end, it’s as good as it gets really, especially at a ground like that.”
