JAMIE O'HARA believes Leeds United would make big inroads in the Premier League under Marcelo Bielsa.

In Bielsa's second season in charge, United sit top of the Championship and holding a seven-point cushion in the division's automatic promotion places with nine games left.

Leeds have seen their promotion bid currently halted by the global fight against coronavirus which has the EFL season indefinitely suspended but the EFL are hoping to play the remaining games over a 56-day period this summer.

The Whites had been long odds-on to seal automatic promotion before the current pause and O'Hara believes a Leeds side under Bielsa in the country's top flight would make some serious waves.

"They need to get promotion to keep Bielsa," said Billericay Town player manager O'Hara, speaking on Alan Brazil’s Sports Breakfast Show on TalkSPORT.

"If they do and Bielsa stays, then I think they could be a real force in the Premier League.

"They are ready for promotion."
