Stuart Dallas insists Leeds United must not 'lump pressure' on summer signing Raphinha after his impressive start to life at Elland Road.

The 23-year-old winger is a little over two months into his Whites career following his arrival in West Yorkshire on transfer deadline day in October.

Raphinha put pen to paper on a four-year deal in LS11, which concluded his £17m switch from Ligue 1 side Stade Rennes.

The Brazilian wide man has made six appearances so far under Marcelo Bielsa this term, including starting the last three Premier League outings.

He bagged his first goal for the club at Goodison Park against Everton two weeks ago, a wonderful low effort from outside of the box which proved to be the crucial winner on Merseyside.

His impact has been felt quickly at Leeds, having made a nuisance of himself for a number of opposition defences.

Raphinha has quickly dislodged Helder Costa in Bielsa's starting line-up after his swift on-pitch impact.

United utility man Dallas, though, is wary of asking too much, too soon of his new team-mate, as he continues to adjust to life in the top flight with last season's Championship title winners.

"He's settled in really well, as does every player when they come here," Dallas told LUTV recently.

"I keep on saying it in interviews but this group of players is a great group. We have a great environment here. It makes it that bit easier for players [coming in].

"We've all been in a position before where we've gone into a new club and at the start it is difficult. Especially when you're coming from a different country as well.

"Rapha has taken really well to the group. The boys have taken really well to him and I think you can see that by his performances.

"It's important we don't put too much pressure on him. The performance he had against Everton, it's important we don't lump pressure on him to do it every week.

"He's still learning here and learning about the group and players. We're learning about him as well.

"He's been brilliant since he came in. Every day in training he's consistent and his performances are brilliant."
