Italian media continue to talk up reported Leeds interest in midfielder

The 26-year-old currently plies his trade for Fiorentina, and has been named as a potential target for the Whites in recent days, with La Nazione running a story last week claiming that Marcelo Bielsa’s side have already been in contact with the Serie A outfit over a potential double deal involving Pulgar and his Ivorian teammate Christian Kouame.
But while speculation surrounding Kouame has seemingly cooled in the period since, there is continued talk involving the Whites and his South American colleague.

Hide AdLa Nazione are once again at the forefront of the story, suggesting that the player “seems to be winding down” his time in Florence, while also adding that Leeds’ supposed contact is proving to be an “interesting” proposition.
Fellow Italian publication Corriere Fiorentino support their claims by reporting that “there continues to be voices about the interest of Leeds for Pulgar”.
Despite insistence from the continent, however, it remains to be seen whether Leeds will look to bring in a player of Pulgar’s standing in the coming weeks.
The Whites aren't expected to be overly ambitious in their dealings in the January transfer window, and the prospect of moving for a 24-cap senior international may be met with scepticism from some quarters.

Hide AdLa Nazione previously ran a story linking Leeds with a move for Pulgar in the latter stages of the summer transfer window, with a bid of around £13.5 million mooted at the time.
Nothing came of that reported interest at the time, but it would appear that some publications are keen to keep the link alive this month.
