The 24-year-old was forced to sit out Saturday’s dramatic 2-1 win over parent club Manchester City, but has enjoyed an impressive debut season in the Premier League, scoring seven goals and assisting five more.

Harrison is in his third season on loan at Elland Road, and reports in recent months have suggested that the Whites have already agreed a fee of around £10 million to finally make his transfer a permanent one.

Discussing the wide man on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday, former Aston Villa midfielder Hendrie was asked by host Jeff Stelling whether he believed that a deal at that price would represent good value for money.

He said: “100%, yes.

"He’s a player that's stood out for me. I saw a lot of him in the Championship, and he is one of those players that’s got a great attacking threat.

"Would he get into this City side? That’s the big question mark, isn’t it?

"For £10 million, if I had £10 million I’d buy him and have him in my over-35s side, I’ll tell you that for sure.”

Harrison has been a mainstay of Marcelo Bielsa’s plans this season, and has already registered 31 appearances across all competitions for the Whites.

The former New York City talent also played a key role in Leeds’ long-awaited promotion campaign last term, contributing six goals and eight assists after featuring in all 46 of his side’s Championship fixtures.
