Leeds, though, were stunned by their counterparts as they fell to a 3-0 defeat to a side who sat 62 places below them in the football pyramid ahead of kick-off.
Two goals in three minutes through Nick Tsaroulla and Ashley Nadesan put the hosts in control, before John Yems' side bagged a third through Jordan Tunnicliffe with 20 minutes remaining to leave an emphatic look to the scoreline.
Despite Bielsa making all five substitutions throughout the encounter - with a number of those being academy youngsters - Leeds were unable to haul themselves back into the tie and were well beaten with Crawley running out deserved winners.

"Of course, he is sad and the players are sad. We are disappointed with the result of the game."
