The prolific goalscorer, who was the subject of a bid by Leeds United according to a national newspaper, is yet to sign a new deal at the KCOM Stadium.

His current contract ends in the summer but Hull have an option to extend it for another year.

Seventeen goals in 30 appearances have made the 23-year-old hot property but if clubs have made offers, McCann is yet to see them.

“No, I don’t believe so, nothing’s come to me,” he said.

“As is well publicised, there was an improved (contract) offer made to Jarrod and his representatives, so we’re just waiting to hear back from that.

“I haven’t sat with Jarrod, it’s really down to the representatives and the football club to get to the bottom of that.

“We just focus on the football.”

McCann is hopeful that Bowen will put pen to paper on the new deal, but hints that if not, the board will have a decision to make over his future.

“I can see both sides of it. I can see that Jarrod’s really enjoying his football, and I can see that if he doesn’t accept this deal, something will have to be done,” he said.

“I’ve no idea when that decision is going to be made.

“All I can do is concentrate on Jarrod while he’s here and hopefully he’s here for a long time. If he’s not, he’s not.

“I don’t worry myself too much about it.”

One player Leeds United have definitely made offers for, Che Adams, was again the subject of questions for Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl on Thursday.

He reiterated that he’s not open to the departure of Adams or any others.

“I recognise that our players are interesting to other clubs,” he said.

“He’s not playing at the moment but he recognises his importance to this team.

“I need every player. For us, there is no option. What I can say is nobody was in my office and wanting to leave us.”
