How Leeds United winger Helder Costa is helping fans overcome boredom during football ban

LEEDS UNITED winger Helder Costa is doing his bit to keep Whites fans entertained during the blanket ban on football by accepting challenges for games on FIFA.

Costa said on his Instagram story that he was "looking for a pro clubs team for a friendly game" before adding "teams on PS4 only please."

In one of the replies to his story, Costa confirmed he was ready to to play and even said he would provide a signed shirt if he was beaten.

Costa and the rest of the Whites squad are now training from home for at least the next seven days on the back of medical advice over the coronavirus outbreak.

None of United's squad or staff have tested positive for COVID-19 or shown symptoms of the virus but United have taken the decision to effectively follow government advice and work from home where possible.

Leeds will follow this approach for seven days and then reassess.

The EFL will hold a board meeting on Wednesday to discuss plans for the remainder of the campaign.

UEFA have already postponed this summer's European Championships which will now be held in 2021 to allow league campaigns to be concluded this summer.

UEFA are aiming to have all league campaigns concluded by June 30 "should the situation improve and resuming playing be appropriate and prudent enough".

Officials from all 20 Premier League clubs will hold an emergency meeting on Thursday to discuss their plans.
