The German international completed 45 minutes in a defensive midfield role in a 2-1 win over Newcastle United.

Here's what fans have been saying across social media in today's supporters talking point:

@JohnTLondonWhi1 Lots of talk about needing a back-up for KP next season ... Robin Koch may be the answer? We may have too many CBs anyway! #LUFC

@NakedFarang Robin Koch looks like a giant, by the way. You'd think he was playing with the U13s, never mind the U23s.

@st07pat Robin Koch looks up for this ..Great to see him back getting some minutes in.

@eltel89 Crazy that we have gone from playing with 1 senior CB, to having all of these available: Llorente, Struijk, Cooper, Koch, Berardi. Edging closer to full-strength, for the 1st time this season. #lufc

@Irish_Leeds Early to judge but could Koch be the alternative at DM if missing Phillips? Would allow us to put more cash towards a creative midfielder/long term Pablo replacement #lufc
