Leeds dispatched of the Sky Blues on Saturday afternoon to make it five clean sheets and four wins from their opening seven Championship matches this season. Victory at Elland Road also ensured Leeds move up one place to fifth in the table and cut the lead to top spot to just two points.
Here are the ratings from today’s well-managed contest in which Willy Gnonto, Jayden Bogle and Joel Piroe scored the goals.
7. Ilia Gruev - 8/10
Industrious, got about the pitch to hassle and harry Coventry. Picked up good positions on the edge to support attacks. One decent effort from distance. Four interceptions. Tidy. | Getty Images
8. Willy Gnonto - 8/10
Took his goal brilliantly and then assisted Piroe's. A real problem for Coventry when he found space. Took up clever positions, linked up well. Not always completely accurate but always a factor. | Getty Images
9. Largie Ramazani - 8/10
Picked up a lovely assist for Bogle's goal. Worked hard, pressed, fought to win the ball and carried a threat for most of his appearance. Ran out of steam a little before coming off with just over 20 left. | Getty Images
10. Brenden Aaronson - 7/10
Helped to progress a lot of attacks. Waspish without the ball. Not everything he tried came off but he never stopped working. | Jonathan Gawthorpe
11. Mateo Joseph - 7/10
Worked hard off the ball to press. Some nice examples of hold-up and link-up play. Forged a chance for himself but the finish wasn't quite there. | Ian Hodgson/PA Wire
12. Ao Tanaka - 7/10
Very tidy in possession and played a lovely ball to Gnonto in the build-up to the third. Showed good strength and a relish for the physical side of things. | Getty Images
