Graham Smyth's Leeds United player ratings v Sheffield United as 'absolutely superb' star scores 9/10, six 8s, one 5

Leeds United moved into the Championship’s automatic promotion spots with a 2-0 win in Friday night’s Yorkshire derby at home to Sheffield United – but how did we rate the performances?

Leeds' failure to score from corners has been very well documented of late but the hoodoo finally ended in Friday night's Yorkshire derby as Pascal Struijk powered home a Joe Rothwell delivery in the 69th minute. His strike looked set to be the only goal of the game but Leeds put the gloss on an excellent display with a second goal in the 89th minute through substitute Mateo Joseph who was played in by Joel Piroe and applied a clinical finish to put the Blades completely to bed. Graham Smyth, the YEP’s chief football writer, hands out the scores from a dominant display by Daniel Farke’s side.
