Leeds' failure to score from corners has been very well documented of late but the hoodoo finally ended in Friday night's Yorkshire derby as Pascal Struijk powered home a Joe Rothwell delivery in the 69th minute. His strike looked set to be the only goal of the game but Leeds put the gloss on an excellent display with a second goal in the 89th minute through substitute Mateo Joseph who was played in by Joel Piroe and applied a clinical finish to put the Blades completely to bed. Graham Smyth, the YEP’s chief football writer, hands out the scores from a dominant display by Daniel Farke’s side.

5. Junior Firpo
8 - Another really solid performance. Looked after the ball well for the vast majority, put in some dangerous crosses, got forward well. Gave Shackleton a hard time. Photo: Bruce Rollinson

6. Ao Tanaka
8 - Some really classy moments on the ball but lots of steady, sensible stuff to retain the ball. Kept things solid too. Photo: Bruce Rollinson
