Gjanni Alioski says Leeds United's full belief in 'project Marcelo Bielsa' is why the Whites have attacked the Premier League in the same vein as the Championship.

United have acquired 14 points from their opening 11 games of the top flight campaign, sitting 14th and eight points above the drop zone.

Bielsa's men have earned praise for the way they have attacked their new surroundings, similarly to the manner in which they claimed the second division title by a 10-point margin in the summer.

The Argentine head coach brought his unique brand of play to West Yorkshire over two years ago, and Leeds haven't looked back since.

Some have been surprised by the way United have carried on deploying the high press and attacking at will amongst England's elite.

Alioski, though, says the commitment to the style should be no shock to onlookers.

"I don't think we need to change anything because we grow up as a team like this," Alioski told LUTV.

"This is our style. Like this, we are dangerous and can achieve our goal. We believe in all of the work that we do.

"In the Premier League we have done the same thing and we know we are strong. We learn things and how to play with the hard work that we do.

"We follow the project and this project is the best thing for this team. That's why we are so strong."

The Whites are still very much the new boys on the block and are in the early days of the campaign.

Expectations were raised after a strong start yet the goal for the season remains exactly the same.

"I think to stay in the league," Alioski said of this season's ambitions.

"I think the best thing [to do] is to watch until January to see where we are. Then we can see.

"When we started the season the most important [thing] was to stay in the league.

"We are a team and a club that watch game by game because we know we have quality. We are not afraid to surprise teams.

"We don't dream too much. We go game by game, as always."
