Gjanni Alioski outlines wish for Leeds United future and situation with contract at Whites

GJANNI Alioski says he would love to stay with Leeds United beyond the end of his current deal but equally remains firmly focused on enjoying the here and now.

Alioski is now one of United's longest-serving current first team players with the North Macedonian international having amassed 142 appearances since signing from Swiss club Lugano in July 2017.

The North Macedonian international's contract expires next summer and Alioski says there have been no developments over a new deal with the 29-year-old very keen to stay,

"Still nothing has happened,” said Alioski, speaking to BBC Radio Leeds.

“I am here still, of course, and my contract ends in June next year.

"But I am not thinking that I will leave Leeds.

"My head is only concentrated on Leeds but what will happen will happen in the end.

“Of course I would love it to stay here, but these are things that other people are going to manage.

"I want to enjoy only the moment that I am here.

"I want to be focused for the football and other things, of course, I see in the media, but nothing has happened still.

"I am here every day serious and focused for enjoying every day in Leeds.”
