Marcelo Bielsa's Whites produced another display of crisp, attacking football in their latest Premier League assignment with Leeds creating 23 attempts at goal, one week after offering 25 shots at home to Arsenal.

Yet unlike in the previous weekend's goalless draw against the Gunners, this time United found a breakthrough with summer signing Raphinha settling the clash with his first goal for the club in the 79th minute.

Alioski only wished that United's fans could have been present to celebrate what was a first league win at Everton for 30 years with Leeds' supporters instead still unable to watch from the stands due to the country's ongoing battle against coronavirus.

But United's North Macedonian international said the style of United's victory and the sheer number of chances created were giving his side even more belief as part of their Premier League return.

“It was beautiful football for the fans,” said Alisoki, speaking to LUTV.

“Maybe we’re going to have a lot of meetings because it was a really nice game, up and down the pitch.

"How creative we were, the effort we had with the team, the power, it was nice to watch to see how many chances we create.

“This gives you energy and more belief that we can win this game and we enjoyed playing the game. It was really nice."

Reflecting on what was United's first league win at Everton since the 3-2 triumph of August 1990, Alioski said: “It doesn’t matter how long it was. Today happened.

"It's 30 years but it's the first year we are in the Premier League and the first time we beat them, so for me it doesn’t matter how long Leeds didn’t win here, we did it today.

“The fans waited so long for this victory and it’s sad that we don’t have them to celebrate together but we are thinking of them, we have them here in our hearts.

“I think nobody could believe it was still zero-zero in the first half.

"Normally it would be one-one, two-two or two one or something with goals but it was nil-nil!

“But I think we had more 100 per cent chances to score. Of course they had good chances too but we were the team that had more chances to score goals.

"I think Harrison can maybe have scored two or three goals today, Bamford, a lot.

"But then I think I think in the end, it’s the hard work that we do in training.

"Every day we work hard to have power and energy to believe and, in the end, we get the energy to win the game."
