Leeds are heading to North London seeking a third Premier League win on the spin following last Saturday’s amazing comeback 4-3 success at home to Bournemouth on the back of the previous weekend’s superb 2-1 win at Liverpool. The Whites were then knocked out of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening through a 1-0 defeat at Wolves in a match for which head coach Jesse Marsch made ten changes to his side. Jack Harrison was the only player to start who also lined up in Saturday’s epic 4-3 win at home to Bournemouth but Marsch revealed at Friday’s pre-match press conference that Harrison had suffered a muscle strain and was “questionable” for the Spurs trip. If Harrison doesn’t make it then Leeds will have seven players out with Patrick Bamford, Adam Forshaw, Archie Gray, Luis Sinisterra and also Mateusz Klich now sidelined in addition to longer term absentee Stuart Dallas. After Marsch’s updates at his press conference, this is how we think Leeds will line up at Tottenham.
7. CM - Marc Roca
Mateusz Klich and youngster Darko Gyabi lined up in centre midfield against Wolves but Adams and Roca has been the axis upon which the Leeds midfield is built upon and that looks set to resume at Spurs and in any case Klich has been ruled out after suffering a knock to his knee at Wolves. 8. RM - Crysencio Summerville
A youngster making giant strides, so much so that he was given the night off at Wolves ahead of Saturday's trip to Spurs. Luis Sinisterra remains injured and 21-year-old Summerville is very much United's in form winger. Photo: Marc Atkins
9. LM - Brenden Aaronson
Completing the triumvirate of Leeds players heading to the World Cup and joining Adams in the USA squad. Aaronson is one of the first names on the team sheet and has been playing as a no 10 of late but if Jack Harrison doesn't make it then perhaps Aaronson will shift out wide although starting the hugely exciting Willy Gnonto is the other obvious port of call which would allow Aaronson to stay as a no 10. But Marsch might have something else in store. Photo: Steve Bardens
10. ACM - Sam Greenwood
Marsch immediately highlighted Greenwood as a potential starter at Spurs upon being asked whether Willy Gnonto would be in the XI - which he might be. But perhaps the Greenwood answer was telling and it might be that Marsch starts with him and opts for Gnonto off the bench though the temptation is surely to put Gnonto in already. 11. ST - Rodrigo
Patrick Bamford remains out injured whilst Joe Gelhardt came off with knock against Wolves after starting and Rodrigo looks an automatic pick upfront at present, albeit there are very promising youngsters like Gnonto, Mateo Joseph and Sonny Perkins bubbling below the surface. Photo: George Wood
