Frank Lampard pays huge compliment to Leeds United in assessing latest Chelsea test

FRANK Lampard says Saturday's Premier League clash against Leeds United will be a big test of his Chelsea side's defence against "one of the most dangerous teams in the league."

Third-placed Chelsea have the second best defensive record in the Premier League having conceded just ten goals in ten games with only leaders Tottenham Hotspur bettering that with the concession of nine.

The Blues have kept clean sheets in five of their last seven league games and in three of their last four in league and cup but Lampard says his side will now face a serious examination of their credentials against free-flowing Leeds.

"I think it will be a big test for us," said Lampard at his pre-match press conference.

"If you analyse Leeds, they are not an easy team to analyse because of the way that the play but when you just look at the stats there’s lots of shots and they are scoring goals against top teams, pretty much anyone.

"They create a lot so we will have to be at our absolute best in terms of concentration and the togetherness with how we defend.

"We have shown some really good signs and that’s how you get clean sheets from front to back.
