Fleetwood Town 2 Leeds United 1 - RECAP as Charlie Cresswell opener proves in vain
The Cod Army are managed by former Whites boss Simon Grayson meaning that tonight's encounter will see two promotion-winning Whites bosses go head to head.
The Whites took in their second pre-season friendly of the summer on Wednesday evening and recorded a 1-1 draw against Championship hosts Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park in what was a first outing of the summer's for United's first teamers.

Two games in 20 hours
Good evening and welcome to our live blog for coverage of this evening’s pre-season friendly against Simon Grayson’s Fleetwood Town from the club’s Highbury Stadium in Lancashire. It’s been a busy week for Leeds for whom Tuesday evening’s friendly at Guiseley for the 23s was followed by Wednesday night’s clash at Blackburn for the first team. And now we have another two friendlies within the space of 20 hours as tonight’s 7pm kick-off is followed by tomorrow’s 12.30pm kick-off against Real Betis at Loughborough University. United’s first teamers will clearly be in action for that one so we would expect another 23s side of sorts at Fleetwood tonight. But could Adam Forshaw start having come on in the 61st minute against Guiseley and who else will feature? All will be revealed when team news is with us at 6pm. Kalvin Phillips, Patrick Bamford and Liam Cooper are yet to feature this summer whilst Ian Poveda and new recruit Lewis Bate are also yet to be handed any minutes.
