Harrison - who has bagged five goals and six assists this term - made his 28th league appearance of the campaign at Loftus Road.

The Manchester City winger, though, has been praised for his behaviour during the controversial defeat in the capital which sees Leeds hold the final spot in the race for automatic promotion.

Peter Bleksley, a former Met Police chief turned author, is best known for his role on Channel 4 reality show Hunted.

The television star was so impressed by what he saw from Harrison at QPR, he felt compelled to write an letter to the 23-year-old before posting his thoughts on social media.

"Dear Mr Harrison, I am a lifelong QPR fan and season ticket holder, and together with my son, I was at the game last Saturday," he wrote.

"After watching how you conducted yourself, I felt utterly compelled to write to you. On two occasions during the first half, you were involved in tackles where you were clearly injured.

"You ended up on the ground both times and you were holding and rubbing the areas that hurt.

"However, both times you got to your feet promptly and displayed that good old fashioned determination to 'run it off', despite still suffering the effects.

"You did not exaggerate your injuries. You did not cynically attempt to get opposite players booked or worse. You simply got to your feet as soon as you possibly could and got on with it.

"Your actions stood in stark contrast to an awful lot of what I have seen at football matches in recent years.

"You were an absolute credit to yourself, your profession and the club you represent. I wish you all the very best in your career, except of course against my beloved QPR!"
