Huddersfield's 2-1 win over promotion rivals West Brom meant the 16 years of exile from the top division of English football was over for the Whites. Hundreds of fans gathered outside the stadium to celebrate the promotion, singing Marching On Together, beeping their car horns and setting off flares in front of the ground. Police kept a watchful eye after fans had been asked to stay away and follow social distancing guidelines.
