For a bit of fun, we've simulated the game through to the end of next summer's transfer window, and taken a look at the intriguing signings Leeds United are predicted to make. Here's the deals FM21 is backing the Whites to make over the course of next year.
1. Ryan Nyambe - Blackburn Rovers - £14.5m
You join us in January 2021, where Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds are sitting relatively comfortably in 14th. As soon as the new window opens, they swoop for the tenacious right-back - their only signing of the month. Photo: Clive Brunskill
2. Leeds survive the drop, Bielsa leaves, Dyche joins
Leeds finish the 2020/21 season in 16th place, and Bielsa is snapped up by Sevilla. Sean Dyche rolls into town and is handed a weighty transfer war chest to bring in his own boys, and he goes to town. Photo: LAURENCE GRIFFITHS
3. Kemar Roofe - Rangers - £12.5m
The summer transfer window opens, and Bournemouth come straight in for Patrick Bamford. Dyche needs a replacement, and opts to bring Roofe back to Elland Road after a title-winning season with Rangers. Photo: ANDY BUCHANAN
4. Josef Martinez - Atlanta United - £9.75m
On the same day Roofe returns, Leeds also bring in the Venezuelan forward to bolster their front line. He's been banging in the goals in the MLS for some time, and looks to be a bargain signing. Photo: Kevin C. Cox
5. Eder Balanta - Club Brugge - £9.5m
The tough-tackling Colombian is a ruthless defensive midfielder who can also do a fine job in the middle of a back four. Photo: BRUNO FAHY
6. Roberto Alvarado - Cruz Azul - £3.5m
More South American flair brought in by Dyche - now there's a sentence I never thought I'd write. After tearing it up in his native Mexico with Cruz Azul, the rapid winger is recruited to test his talents in the Premier League. Photo: ALFREDO ESTRELLA
