The France international has been an almost ever-present since joining the Toffees in the summer of 2018 from Barcelona and Digne excelled in last weekend's 3-2 triumph at Fulham from a left wing back position.

However, the 27-year-old injured his ankle in training earlier in the week with the defender thought to be facing two months out and possibly needing surgery.

Everton confirmed news of the injury on Thursday evening.
