England v Scotland team news - Leeds United's Kalvin Phillips starts but Liam Cooper loses place in Scottish side
Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips starts again for England at Wembley tonight but Whites team-mate Liam Cooper is on the bench for Scotland.
Phillips was England s Man of the Match in their Euro 2020 opener, thanks to a dominant midfield performance in a more advanced role than the one he occupies for Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds.
The 25-year-old lines up alongside Declan Rice once more in Gareth Southgate's midfield against the Scots, for whom Cooper is among the substitutes. Steve Clarke has instead opted to bring in the returning Kieran Tierney, fit again after a calf injury ruled the Arsenal man out of the first game of the tournament.
Cooper, Leeds' club captain, put in a steady display on the left hand side of a back three, in Scotland's opening group game, a 2-0 defeat by Czech Republic.
