Elland Road reaches top Twitter trends after fans asked for best atmosphere stadiums

A fanzine asked fans of clubs from across the country to vote on the stadium which is "the best in terms of atmosphere".

Leeds United fans - and even some rivals - took to the social media platform to express their view that Elland Road was the best for a roaring noise and fan support.

Elland Road is now in the top 10 Twitter trends due to the volume of supporters replying to the poll.

One fan said: "Elland Road, no debate."

A fan of Tottenham Hotspur admitted Elland Road also had the best atmosphere of any stadium he had visited.

Another fan cheekily tweeted: "Outside the Prem.... well, the best atmosphere was wherever Leeds were playing."

Many fans used the opportunity to rank their favourite grounds from across the country - however the consensus remained that Elland Road topped the pile.
