Dallas is now preparing for a huge game on the international front with his Northern Ireland side taking on Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo on Thursday evening for a European Championships qualifier play-offs semi-final.

The winners of the contest will take on either Slovakia or the Republic of Ireland for a place at the delayed European Championships next summer and Dallas departed for international duty with a big spring in his step after newly-promoted United's first four games back in the Premier League.

After running defending champions Liverpool close in a 4-3 thriller at Anfield on the opening day, Marcelo Bielsa's Whites then picked up their first victory with a 4-3 success at home to Fulham which was followed by a 1-0 triumph in a Yorkshire derby at Sheffield United.

In pouring rain, Leeds then survived an early onslaught from Manchester City in Saturday's clash at Elland Road before rallying strongly to claim a 1-1 draw.

After a 16-year absence from the country's top flight, Dallas says his club should now enjoy their adventures back in the Premier League with the 29-year-old saying United's squad are relishing taking on the country's best and only wishing that games were being played in front of United's passionate fans.

United's supporters have been unable to cheer on their side from the terraces since the 2-0 victory at home to Huddersfield Town on March 7 due to the country's ongoing battle with coronavirus and associated social distancing measures which still has all games being played behind closed doors.

"It's been a difficult start for us because obviously we have had Liverpool and Man City in there and Fulham and Sheffield United," said Dallas, speaking on Sky Sports.

"It's been difficult but it's been good.

"The club itself has waited a long time to get back in the Premier League and for us now it's about enjoying it.

"It's been a decent start for us, it's one that we are enjoying as players and it's just a pity as I look back at the game on Saturday night and think that if there had been 35,000 Leeds fans in there it would have been absolutely electric.

"But unfortunately that's the situation we are in.

"We can't have that but it's one that we are enjoying and long may it continue."
