EFL reveal landmark coronavirus test results as Leeds United continue promotion push

ZERO individuals tested positive as part of the EFL's latest round of testing for coronavirus across the EFL Championship.

A total of 2798 players and club staff from the 24 Championship clubs were tested over the course of the past week with not a single positive case recorded.

It is the first time since testing began that the Championship has received zero positive tests.

As part of a clean sweep of negative tests, zero individuals tested positive from the 311 players and club staff tested from four League One clubs as well as the 154 players and club staff tested from four League Two clubs - all over the course of the past week.

As the fixture programme resumes, the EFL will make a central announcement of COVID-19 test results every Wednesday at midday to continue to support competition integrity and transparency.

No specific details as to clubs or individuals will be provided by the League.

Championship front-runners Leeds United have six games left in their promotion push.
