And while the memories are still fresh, most fans have turned their attention to the transfer window, Bielsa's contract and next season.Not so in Ripon, where one fan claims to have been drunk ever since July 17.

A manager at the North Yorkshire Force Control Room shared via social media details of a call police received at 9.36am this morning (Friday).

Victoria, who preferred not to give her last name, wrote: "We responded to a call this morning about concerns for a very drunk male in the street.

"On arrival and talking to him, he said he was still celebrating #lufc getting promoted!

"He said he hasn’t been sober for weeks

"We have taken him home in good spirits!! #notallaboutcrime."
