The future of Marcelo Bielsa was a hot topic during Tuesday’s Football Show on Sky Sports after dominating the headlines over the last few days.

Whites owner Andrea Radrizanni confirmed in an interview with CBS Sports that he was planning for life without Bielsa but is confident he’ll sign up to a fourth season at Elland Road.

Bielsa then addressed his future ahead of tonight’s game with Southampton and explained why it wouldn’t be right to sign a new contract until all 38 Premier League games are played.

The 65-year-old, since arriving in West Yorkshire in the summer of 2018, has signed one-year deals only and that is unlikely to change this summer.

And after discussing Bielsa’s future and his style of play, Davies provided a hilarious six-word response.

Former Middlesbrough goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer said: "Let’s just hope that it stays like this for a longer time in the future and let’s enjoy the way Leeds United play because it’s a very enjoyable to watch Leeds United play.”

Curtis then replied: "Except when you’re playing against them!”

The 35-year-old missed both play-off games for Derby against Leeds but started the pair’s last meeting in July, where Leeds won 3-1 at Pride Park to clinch the Championship title.

Curtis also discussed the possibility of Bielsa leaving in the future and pointed towards former assistant Carlos Corberan as a replacement.

He added: "That is going to be the most difficult part (replacing Bielsa) because it is such a unique way of doing things.

"The way they train – he’s had the buy-in of the triple and double sessions that they’ve done throughout these last couple of years making them this team that they are.

"I think the only other option they’ve got in terms of somebody who is trying to do it is the manager at Huddersfield (Carlos Corberan) because he was his assistant manager.

"But, is he going to be at the level by then to take over fully and be ready for Bielsa Ball on a permanent basis at Leeds? It’s very difficult to say.

"I think the key is to hang on for him as long as possible, giving those players more and more Premier League experience and making sure their level is right at the very top and hopefully, whoever does come in next, even if they were to change the style, you’ve got very good players, very accomplished players at Premier League level now, that are able to adapt because I think it is going to be very difficult for any manager to come in a replicate what Marcelo Bielsa does.”
