Crawley Town striker highlights Leeds United advantage and issues regret for FA Cup clash

CRAWLEY Town striker Tom Nichols believes the absence of supporters is in Leeds United's favour for Sunday's FA Cup clash.

The third round tie will be played without fans in the People's Pension Stadium stands due to the country's ongoing battle with coronavirus with the whole nation on lockdown.

"It's a real shame they won't be there because they really would drive us on," said Nichols.

"I have been the underdog at home and the home fans really do drive you on.

"That is a real shame because that could give us an few extra few percentages that we need really so it's probably better for them that we don't have another player as it were.

"It's a real shame but hopefully it will be a nice game."
