Bielsa's Leeds side stormed their way to a ninth-placed finish upon their Premier League return last season through a relentless attacking style of high press, energetic and swashbuckling football.

Cascarino says he is now seeing something very similar again at this summer's European Championships through Roberto Mancini's Italy side who are generally second favourites to win the competition.

Italy steam rollered their way into the tournament's knock out stages as 3-0 victories against Turkey and Switzerland were followed by a 1-0 triumph against Wales.

The Azzurri will take on Austria in Saturday night's last 16 clash at Wembley in which Cascarino is predicting a 3-0 victory for Mancini's side.

"Italy remind me of Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds United in how dynamic they are," said Cascarino in The Times.

"They're very un-Italian in that usually you expect Italy to go 1-0 up and then sit back and defend that lead, but against Turkey in their opening game they played the same way when they were 2-0 and 3-0 up.

"The front three of Ciro Immobile, Lorenzo Insigne and Domenico Berardi are relentless with their pressing and any of them can score.

"As a side their work rate is exceptional and physically they're very difficult to beat."
