Following the arrival of Marcelo Bielsa in the summer of 2018 the Spaniard continued to hold his role with the development side but also took up a spot as first team coach.

Corberan was tasked with helping manage the link between the senior and Under-23s squad whilst ensuring a similar style of play was implemented at development level.

The 37-year-old has now been appointed by the Terriers on a permanent basis after the two sides agreed a compensation fee earlier this week.

Corberan helped guide Leeds to promotion to the Premier League this term playing an integral role as part of Bielsa's staff.

He will take over from the departed Danny Cowley at the John Smith's stadium.
