BRENTFORD boss Thomas Frank says there will be nothing unusual about checking Leeds United and West Brom's results, something he would do anyway after each round of games.

In the continued race for promotion, the Bees manager also believes that taking momentum into the play-offs could be just as important as the quest to chase down the Baggies and Whites.

Frank's Brentford side continued their relentless pursuit of Leeds and West Brom in the Championship's automatic promotion places as Saturday lunch-time's 3-1 victory at Derby County made it seven wins in a row.

With three games left, the victory put Brentford back into third and just two points behind second-placed West Brom and three adrift of Leeds with the Baggies now away at Blackburn Rovers for a Saturday 3pm kick-off.

United, meanwhile, visit Swansea City for a Sunday lunch-time kick-off but Frank gave a simple reply asked if he expected either side to drop points.

"Of course I would lie if I say I am not checking the results but we would check the results anyway, we always do that each round, that's a natural thing," said Frank, speaking to Sky.

"But we can only do what we are doing, win our games and then on to the next one.

"No matter if we catch them or not, we are ready to go into the play-offs with top momentum and I think that is just as important."
