Leeds United earned a 1-1 draw with Brentford on Tuesday evening in the Championship at Griffin Park.

Marcelo Bielsa made one change for the trip to the capital as Kalvin Phillips returned from suspension in place of Gjanni Alioski.

It was Leeds who started the better of the two sides as Jack Harrison caught Henrik Dalsgaard on the ball but the winger failed to make him pay with a tame effort.

Luke Ayling then went close with a header from a corner as the Whites asserted their control on the evening.

Disaster was to strike, though, on the 25 minute mark as the Bees were gifted the advantage.

Liam Cooper played the ball across the area to stopper Kiko Casilla who missed his touch and slipped which allowed forward Said Benrahma to tap into an empty net unchallenged.

Pablo Hernandez responded with a stern volley which David Raya tipped over the goal as Leeds looked to haul themselves back into a game they had dominated.

The Bees stopper himself returned the favour to Bielsa's men just before the half-time break as United finally found their goal.

Raya failed to claim a Harrison corner inside the six-yard box with the ball falling to Cooper who was on hand to stab home into the net to send the travelling fans wild.

Helder Costa almost put Leeds in front just moments before the interval but his diving header from a Stuart Dallas cross flew inches wide of the post.

The evening continued in much the same pattern after the change of ends as Bamford saw a header fly over the bar from an Ayling cross.

United then let the hosts off as they caught the Bees in possession and broke.

Good play from Costa and Bamford saw Klich cut the ball back to the former of the edge of the box but his shot was straight at Raya.

The Whites number nine again fired a half-volley over the bar from distance as Leeds were threatening a winner.

Bielsa opted to introduced Jean-Kevin Augustin into the affair with 15 minutes remaining as Bamford was replaced.

Hernandez went close in added time with a volley but both sides had to settle for a point in the capital.
