Bobby Collins - 10 memories of Leeds United and Don Revie's vital midfielder

Bobby Collins was once described by legendary manager Don Revie as one of his most important signings.

The former Leeds United captain made 167 appearances for the club in a five-year spell between 1962-67, scoring 26 goals from midfield. Collins was a vital cog in the Revie machine in its earliest stages as he helped drag the side up from the Second Division into the top flight in 1964. The following year United missed out on the First Division title to Manchester United on goal average alone and lost the FA Cup final to Liverpool. Collins, though, won the Football of the Year title. Enjoy these rarely-seen photos below, published courtesy of Varley Picture Agency.
